What is Podcast

Posted by faq on 18th August 2006

The term podcast derives its name from Apple’s iPod, but from creating, publishing to listening, you don’t need to own an iPod, or any portable music player for that matter. In a nutshell, Podcast is a new type of online media delivery. You publish selected audio/video files via the internet and allow your users to subscribe via an RSS feed to automatically receive new files. Podcast lets you create your own syndicated online radio program, with content of your choosing. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster.

Where can I check my bandwidth usage ?

Posted by faq on 12th August 2006

If your plan includes unmetered bandwidth, thus you do not need to check the bandwidth usage. Otherwise, when your bandwith usage reaches 75% of the monthly limit, an email notice will be sent to you. Another notice will then be sent to you when your bandwidth usage reaches 100% of your monthly limit and you will then need to upgrade your account within 24 hours to avoid an interruption of your service, otherwise your media files will be blocked preventing public access. However, if this should occur your blog and your account will still be active so that when you do upgrade to a paid account you can continue using the same service that you had prior without loosing any data stored.
