Why does my audio play in high or low speed?

Posted by faq on March 2nd, 2007

You’ve been chipmunked! Sometimes the Macromedia Flash player has a hard time dealing with files that are encoded at a rate that is not a multiple of 11.025 kHz. The result is what we often refer to as the chipmunk effect. However, when you download the file, it will play normally on your computer or device.

Note: To avoid being chipmunked, encode MP3 at 11.025 22.05 or 44.1 kHz.
