How to set a static page as your site’s front page
Posted by faq on 29th April 2008
The Static FrontPage option allows a user to set a specific Page to be the Home Page. So rather than visiting your site and seeing a list of latest episodes(posts), the visitor can be presented with for example a nice introductory main page as to what your site or podcast is all about.
Before proceeding, make sure you have already written a page to use as the Front Page.
- From the menu, navigate to Settings-> Display
- Under Front Page Display, check the static page option.
- Select the page you would like to display from the Front page drop down.
- Optional: Select the Posts page that will list your most recent posts. Normally set this to a blank page because the page content will be populated with latest posts.
