Step 1. After you launch FileZilla you should get such screen:

As you can see, the interface is not too complicated. On the left you can see your local folder tree (teal frame) and selected folder content (green frame).

To configure FileZilla to connect to your Podbean FTP account please click on the small computer icon on top left (red arrow).

Step 2. A Site Manager window will show up.

Click on New Site button and enter a name for the new connection settings, e.g. “Podbean FTP”. (It can be really anything, it’s just so that you know where it takes you to ).

Step 3. Now you need to fill in the connection details (marked with red arrows).

Please get your FTP server name in your Podbean “Account” page, enter it into the host name field, such as, ftp3.podbean.com
Your Server Type is FTP. Logontype is Normal.

  Username and password are the ones provided in your Podbean “Account” page. Please DO NOT Copy&Paste your FTP user name and password. The Copy&Paste might include extra empty space and cause FTP login failure. Please type your FTP user name and password into FileZilla.

  If you’re not using your computer or you share your pc with other people and you don’t want them to be able to connect to your site you can select the option not to remember your password (underlined with blue).

Once you’re sure the settings are correct click Save and Exit button.

Step 4. Now After you returned to main program window click small arrow next to the computer icon top left to see drop-down menu. Pick your website from the list to connect.

Step 5. Connection established. Now find files you want to upload on your local machine (left-side folder tree and content).

Simply select the files and drag-and-drop them to the right of the screen (your ftp folder).

Or you can right click the file name and choose “upload” from the pop up menu.

You will notice the transfer progress on the bottom of the screen. If all is OK, your FileZilla window will show the files you uploaded on the right.

Step 6. If the FTP connection broken before finishing the file uploading. Rather than uploading the whole file again, FileZilla allows you to resume uploading from last broken point. To resume the uploading, just try to upload the file again and choose the “Resume” option in the pop up window.

If you move your Podcast from another podcast hosting service to Podbean, you can follow the iTunes instructions on how to change your podcast Feed URL in iTunes at http://www.apple.com/itunes/whatson/podcasts/specs.html#changing

iTunes answer is also copy & paste as hereafter:

Changing Your Feed URL.

Podcasters occasionally need to move their feed from one location to another. To do so without losing subscribers, you must convey the change directly to all users who are subscribed to your feed. If possible, you should do two things:

You should use the
<itunes:new-feed-url>
tag described in the iTunes RSS Tags section below. The tag will cause the iTunes Store to be updated with the new feed URL, as well as all iTunes client versions that support podcasting.

You should set your web server to return an HTTP 301 response and redirect when receiving a request for the old feed. Doing so will cause both the iTunes Store and the most (but not all) iTunes clients that have subscribed to your podcast to pick up the new feed URL.

The
<itunes:new-feed-url>
tag will work for iTS and all versions of the iTunes client that support podcasting. The 301 redirect will work for most of your subscribers who do not use the iTunes client. We recommend that you use both methods to update the greatest possible number of subscribers with your new feed URL.

Be sure to maintain the
<itunes:new-feed-url<
tag and the 301 redirect for at least two weeks to ensure that most subscribers have attempted to download your most recent episode and have thereby received the new URL.

If you are not able to use both methods, you may want to include an audio note in your podcast, informing your subscribers that your podcast has changed locations.
