You may follow the steps hereafter to set your own domain for your Podbean Podcast site:

  1. Register a domain with a domain registrar, such as, www.godaddy.com, www.easydns.com.
  2. Host your domain with a DNS service provider, such as, www.easydns.com (recommended), www.zoneedit.com .
  3. In your domain registar account(e.g. your godaddy account), set your domain to use your DNS service provider Name Servers. You may find EasyDNS name servers at here.
  4. In your DNS service account, set an Alias to map your domain to your podbean site. For example, your domain name is mydomain.com and your Podbean username is demo. If you want to use the URL http://www.mydomain.com for your Podcast, you can set an Alias (CNAME) record as:

Why my latest Podcast does not show in iTunes ?

Posted by faq on October 30th, 2007

In last couple months, the same question was asked almost daily by our users. Thus, we put the answer to this question here for everyone. This is not an official answer, since we don’t own or operate iTunes directory service. Based on our observation, it looks like iTunes take longer and longer time to update Podcasts. Sometimes, it takes more than one week. We tried various ways to stimulate iTunes to see if we can accelerate the updating process, but none gets obviously effects. So for now, just be patient and wait. iTunes will pick up your podcast and update it. Or you may contact iTunes to see if you can get any support on this issue. If you get any positive answer, please update us. We will post it here for all Podcasters.

How to fix my Podcast site malformed layout?

Posted by faq on October 29th, 2007

Podbean.com support users own html tags, thus html tags that you put in your post DO matters.

The most possible reason that your site get malformed is because of the mismatched <div> tags , such as, you put a open <div> tag without a closing </div>
tag, or verse visa. A quick fix of this problem could be temporally removing your posts from your site one by one and check if your Podcast site looks normal after one post removed. If it gets normal, you know which post cause the problem. You then turn off the rich editor by check it off in "Settings" and edit the problem post to fix any malformed tags.

The second most possible reason is the oversized images. If one of your images width is larger than the post displaying area, your site will be malformed. This problem can be fixed by adding width in the image tag, such as, <img src=”…..”, width=”200”> </img>
