How does Podbean monthly growth disk space work ?

Posted by faq on March 30th, 2007

Podbean.com provides monthly growth, disk space to match their users’ ever-increasing need for storage space. This application works by giving you the user full control of how much space you require and when you require it, therefore, instead of increasing your disk space at a specified time monthly you decide what is applicable to your needs and requirements at the time.

To use this feature simply login to Podbean and click on your ‘Dashboard’. Then click the ‘Upload’ tab located on the top right of your screen. Once in ‘Upload’, make sure you are on the ‘Media Manager’ page (as pictured below).

media_manager.jpg

Then click the ‘Archive’ button located on the right side of the ‘Current Media Files’ tab. As soon as you archive a file, the space that this file occupied then becomes available to you. You may archive as many files as you want until the total archived files size is greater than your monthly growth limit, and the archived quota will be reset to 0 at the end of each monthly circle. Surely the best part about this process is these archived files are still available for public to access.
